Welcome to the Seven Day Games Newsletter issue #3!
Another busy month! Let’s get into it!
First, please sign up for this newsletter if you haven’t yet. It’s the best way to stay informed about what we are doing at Seven Day Games.
“Take that!” Poll
Earlier this month, we had a poll on our Facebook group where we asked what people thought of “Take That!” mechanics in board games. What do you think? Do you like conflict-heavy games where you can directly interfere with the other players or do prefer less player interaction?

Blog Recap
Here’s what we’ve been blogging about this month:
Forgotten Lore: Myrkator
I reminisced about my favorite D&D character, Myrkator—how he came to be and perhaps why.
There's an awkward phase when new characters are getting to know each other and themselves. Different fantasy accents are tried out, conversations are attempted and stunted, one can't decide if they’re in Middle Earth or Monty Python.
Rebirth of Life & Legend, Part 2
We continue our look at the 2nd edition of Life & Legend, this time focusing primarily on the card game aspect.
You are a wanderer on a life-long journey. Seek what you will, but as time passes, know the end draws closer. Each opportunity becomes more important, missteps more costly, victories sweeter. Will you find glory when the path is at its end? Welcome to the World. Good luck, Adventurer.

Ethical Gamer, Issue 3
We check back in with Josh for his latest issue of Ethical Gamer. This time, Josh tackles trash-talking!
Without realizing it, I had crossed a line and caused him pain. So here’s the question: was it wrong of me to make that joke (even though my intentions weren’t malicious)? That’s kind of hard to say. At the very least, I should’ve been more careful to gauge how my nephew was feeling.
Review of Fugue
Back when Fugue was on Kickstarter, Everything Board games gave it a great review! Check it out!

February Online Store Update
As we said last time, the online store is set to be up in March. Everything is on track and Fugue will be available to buy first thing! We are working on a print and play version of the game that includes the unreleased micro-expansions (they will be perfectly compatible with the manufacturers version of the game too).
If you want to see more about Fugue, check out this video:
Fugue is a great little abstract tile-laying game with a solo mode. It's a puzzly " take-that!" game that can even accommodate any number of players if you add more boxes. For each box of Fugue you add to the game, you can include 4 more players. If you like abstract brain burners, Fugue is the game for you. But don't take it from us:
Fugue will only be for sale in the USA, but if you are in a different country, contact us and we'll try to make it happen! Of course, the PnP will be available anywhere.
Life & Legend 2E Update
We will have more to say about this in March! In the meantime, here is the prototype artwork for one of the action cards.
Thanks everyone!
See you in March!
