Hello and welcome to another installment of the Seven Day Games Newsletter!
It's been a busy month! Technically, we've already released a newsletter for January, but since it was more of an introduction, we're releasing a new one now to bring everyone up to date on what we've been doing since then.
We’re very encouraged with all of your support!
Facebook Group
We've launched a group over on Facebook. Check it out! It's pretty active already and we're excited to start growing that community.

Blog Recap
Forgotten Lore got its 2nd installment:
When I first saw The Road Warrior, I was too young, and it blew my mind. The idea of the present world being cast down, all of its conventions and culture swept away, only a stout or fortunate few remaining, and a new world blooming from the carcass of the old was beyond compelling. Not to mention the jury-rigged cars and leather jackets.

The 1st issue of Forgotten Lore.
In case you missed it, here is the 1st installment.
Looking back, I saw that I’d played Dungeons & Dragons consistently for the entirety of the 1990s. These were my younger years, the long years, not the fleeting lightspeed years that jolted to life in my late 20s. The coming of age years, maybe?

Josh saw his first article of Ethical Gamer.
One of the joys of board gaming is that you can enter into a world wholly different than your own. In my daily life, I’ve never gone on an adventure where I explore deep cave systems and fight against swamp-creatures. But when I play Above and Below, it activates that imaginative side of my brain. Part of the enjoyment comes from imagining a life I don’t have.

Rebirth of Life & Legend
We also talked about our plans for Life & Legend going forward.
You are a wanderer on a life-long journey. Seek what you will, but as time passes, know the end draws closer. Each opportunity becomes more important, missteps more costly, victories sweeter. Will you find glory when the path is at its end? Welcome to the World. Good luck, Adventurer.

Classifying an Abstract Game
And finally, I speak about some of the fun I had classifying Fugue…
If Fugue is not abstract, how would one define a game like it?
Online Store Update
The online store will be up in March (barring anything unexpected). And speaking of Fugue, it will be available to buy first thing! We are also working on a print and play version of the game that includes the unreleased micro-expansions (they will be perfectly compatible with the manufacturers version of the game too).
If you want to see more about Fugue, check out this video:
Fugue is a great little abstract tile-laying game with a solo mode. It's a puzzly " take-that!" game that can even accommodate any number of players if you add more boxes. For each box of Fugue you add to the game, you can include 4 more players. If you like abstract brain burners, Fugue is the game for you. But don't take it from us:
Fugue will only be for sale in the USA, but if you are in a different country, contact us and we'll try to make it happen! Of course, the PnP will be available anywhere.
Life & Legend 2E update
We are hard at work putting the finishing touches on the journaling rpg mode for Life & Legend. We when we get a little bit further along, we'll open it up for some good ole community feedback. This will probably be in the next week or two.
I think that’s it for this issue! If you have any questions or insights let us know in the comments!
See you in February!
